My Class

YOU try getting them to stand still

Winter is Nearly Over

Yeah!  The snow is almost all gone, so now we are happy to have melting snowmen and lots of puddles.  We spent our art periods replicating Monet's Water Lilies with tissue paper and making clay figurines of springtime things like caterpillars, carrots, spiders and flowers.

Leprechaun Traps

For St. Patrick's Day we made leprechaun traps - take a look!

Many of the students insisted on making toilets, hot tubs, or leaving trinkets to make the leprechauns feel at home.

After St. Patrick's Day I left little footprints around the room, some leading into the traps.  I also left little notes from the leprechauns thanking the children for their hospitality and I left chocolate coins behind.  Lastly, I put some green food dye in some of the toilets and hot tubs because we all know leprechauns pee green.  The kids loved it!
